The 10% telecommunications tax on internet services to be reduced from the 1st of September, government has announced.

Minister of Finance Mangala Samaraweera speaking at a media briefing , said the 90% duty imposed on motorbikes less than 150CC will be removed from midnight today.

The production tax on mini lorry’s and single cabs will be reduced from 1,000,000 to 700,000 rupees, a reduction of 300,000 rupees, Minister added.
